22 things to do in 2022 (and 2021 in review)

well, 2021 was...a year. some wonderful and exciting things did indeed happen, and i knocked off nearly half of the items on last year's to-do list (including: book an international trip, make a new friend, go to a concert, see a movie in a movie theater, dine in a restaurant, and renew my passport) but i know i'm not really alone in feeling like it was essentially a slightly less shitty 2020. right? i'm not going to say too much about this coming year, lest i jinx it, but i did take a look back at the last 12 months and come up with some hopefully-achievable things for 2022. let's go!

things i did in 2021:

- had my first book published (and had my first book signing!)

- finally wrote a humor essay about my high school senior trip, one of the most traumatic experiences of my life (one of the like, two things i wrote this year, period)

- went to the berkshires for the first time...and the second time

- went to the brimfield antiques show for the first time

- saw 14 bands/artists live

- rented a stranger's pool for an afternoon with my friend

- roasted a whole fish

- took day trips to newport RI, portland ME, and salem MA

- made banana pudding from scratch

- went to king richard's faire for the second time

- went to pickety place, where little red riding hood was illustrated

- went to new york city for the first time in 2 years (and got all dolled up for the harry styles harryween show at madison square garden with my best friend)

- procured a guitar and am currently working on mastering A and D chords :)
